This course is a free version of Transact SQL, and contains initial 2 modules of the main Transact SQL course to give you an idea about how Transact SQL database queries are performed in Visual Studio. Transact SQL or T-SQL is a standardized computer language for querying, altering and defining relational databases, using declarative statements. While this course is specifically focused on Microsoft product, most of what you learn will be applicable to any SQL based database including Oracle, DB2, MySQL etc. This course does not assume that you have any prior knowledge of T-SQL. If you understand relational database concepts it will be a benefit, however it is not a prerequisite.
